# iCloud Mail, Calendar and Contacts in ChatGPT > Add iCloud Mail, Calendar and Contacts to ChatGPT with developer mode. This guide as a web page: https://muse.space/guides/chatgpt ## What you can ask ChatGPT - “Summarise what the school sent this week and put the dates in a list.” - “When did I last hear from the landlord, and what was it about?” - “What have I got on next Tuesday?” - “Find Marco’s email address.” - “Move the dentist to Monday at 9.” This one writes, so it waits until you turn writing on for iCloud Calendar. Reading is on from the start. Sending mail, changing events and editing contacts wait until you turn writing on, connector by connector. ## Three steps, about five minutes ### 1. Make an app-specific password Sign in at [account.apple.com](https://account.apple.com/) and choose **Sign-In and Security**, then **App-Specific Passwords**. Name it `muse.space` and copy the 16 letters Apple shows you. [Open account.apple.com](https://account.apple.com) ### 2. Add it to muse.space [Create an account](https://muse.space/signup) and paste the password. Your browser encrypts it before it is sent, and we check it with Apple. The one password opens Mail, Calendar and Contacts. ### 3. Add the connector in ChatGPT Setup ends by walking you through this. At any time after, it is the same few clicks: 3.1. In ChatGPT, open Settings, then Apps & Connectors. Under Advanced settings, turn on developer mode. [Open ChatGPT](https://chatgpt.com) 3.2. Back in Apps & Connectors, choose Create, and paste this address: MCP address: ```text https://muse.space/mcp ``` 3.3. Choose OAuth as the way it signs in, and create it. It opens a muse.space page where you choose what it may use, and allow it. Note: Developer mode needs one of ChatGPT’s paid plans. ## What stays in your hands - Read tools are on from the start. Every write tool waits for your switch, connector by connector. - Every call ChatGPT makes is in your audit log: which tool, when, and how it went. - Revoke the token ChatGPT holds, and its calls stop within 5 seconds. One switch pauses every agent at once. - ChatGPT never holds the password. Cancel it at Apple and our copy stops working at once. ## Fair things to ask first ### Why developer mode? It is where ChatGPT lets you add a connector of your own, rather than one from its list. Developer mode needs one of ChatGPT’s paid plans. ### Do I need an agent token for ChatGPT? No. ChatGPT signs in the way you sign in to an app, and asks you what it may use. It is listed with your tokens, where you can change what it may use or revoke it. ### Is it safe to give muse.space the password? It is an app-specific password, not your Apple Account password: it opens mail, calendar and contacts and nothing else, and you can cancel it at Apple whenever you like. Your browser encrypts it for our vault before it is sent, and nothing can read it back, not ChatGPT and not you. The [security page](https://muse.space/security) says exactly how. ### Is this allowed by Apple? Yes. App-specific passwords are Apple’s supported way for other mail apps to sign in. Ours shows up in your Apple Account like any other, and you can cancel it there at any time without asking us. ### What if I stop halfway? Nothing is lost. Sign in again and setup carries on from the step you were on, and a password you stored stays stored. If you lost the agent token before your agent had it, make a new one: the old one stops working at once. ### What does it cost? Nothing for up to 3 connectors, and a password counts once, so iCloud Mail, Calendar and Contacts are one. Personal, for everything more, is $5 a month or $48 a year.
