# iCloud Calendar, for your agent > Let Muse, Claude or ChatGPT read your iCloud Calendar and, when you allow it, add and move events. One app-specific password, about five minutes to set up. muse.space wrote this guide, and "we" in it means muse.space. muse.space is an independent project. Read tools are on from the start; write tools wait for your switch. ### Calendar tools - `calendar.list_events` (read): **List events.** List events between two moments, earliest first, with repeating events expanded into their occurrences and times given in each event’s own time zone. - `calendar.read_event` (read): **Read an event.** Read one event or occurrence in full: its times and time zone, location, notes, link, repeat rule, organizer and attendees. - `calendar.list_calendars` (read): **List calendars.** List the calendars of this account that hold events, with the id other calendar tools take and whether each can be written to. - `calendar.create_event` (write): **Create an event.** Create a single event in a calendar; it invites nobody and does not repeat, and a person can remove it in their calendar app. - `calendar.update_event` (write): **Change an event.** Change the title, times, location or notes of an event, leaving the rest as it was; refused if it changed since it was read, or has attendees, who would be told. ## Three steps, about five minutes ### 1. Make an app-specific password Sign in at [account.apple.com](https://account.apple.com/) and choose **Sign-In and Security**, then **App-Specific Passwords**. Name it `muse.space` and copy the 16 letters Apple shows you. [Open account.apple.com](https://account.apple.com) ### 2. Add it to muse.space [Create an account](https://muse.space/signup) and paste the password. Your browser encrypts it before it is sent, and we check it with Apple. The one password opens Mail, Calendar and Contacts. ### 3. Connect your agent Each agent has a short guide of its own. Sign in once, and it can search your iCloud Mail, check your calendar and find contacts, without the password. ## Fair things to ask first ### Can my agent delete events or invite people? No. No tool deletes an event or invites anybody. Once you turn writing on, your agent can add events and change the ones already there. ### What about Reminders? No. Apple keeps today’s Reminders out of the calendar standard that other apps use, so no service like muse.space can reach them. ### Do you keep my events? No. An event passes through our servers in memory for the length of the call, and is never saved or logged. ### I already connected iCloud Mail. Do I need another password? No. Open iCloud Mail in your dashboard: under **Also on this password**, connect iCloud Calendar in one click. It starts read only, like everything else. ### Is this allowed by Apple? Yes. App-specific passwords are Apple’s supported way for other mail apps to sign in. Ours shows up in your Apple Account like any other, and you can cancel it there at any time without asking us. ### What does it cost? Nothing for up to 3 connectors, and a password counts once, so iCloud Mail, Calendar and Contacts are one. Personal, for everything more, is $5 a month or $48 a year.
