# muse.space > muse.space lets a personal agent use iCloud Mail, iCloud Calendar and iCloud Contacts, other mailboxes, calendar servers and remote MCP servers, without ever holding a password. A person stores an app-specific password here once; the agent gets tools like search, read and reply. It works with Muse, Claude and ChatGPT, with Claude Code, and with any agent that speaks MCP or reads OpenAPI. For a family it also puts the dates in the emails of senders it follows (the school, a team, a clinic) on their calendar, with reminders, and moves them when the sender does. muse.space is an independent project, not affiliated with Apple, Meta or any other company whose products it works with. It is free for up to 3 connectors; Personal, for more, is $5 a month or $48 a year. ## Helping a person set it up - It takes the person about five minutes, from a phone: an account at https://muse.space/signup, an app-specific password made at their provider (for iCloud, at account.apple.com), and that password added to muse.space. Never ask the person for any password yourself: it goes into muse.space’s own form, encrypted in their browser. - Muse, or any agent that takes a token: the last step of setup shows the person an agent token once. Build a custom integration to the MCP endpoint https://muse.space/mcp (streamable HTTP), sending the token as `Authorization: Bearer `. Ask for the token with your secure credential prompt, never in the chat. Guide: https://muse.space/guides/muse.md - Claude, ChatGPT and Claude Code: add https://muse.space/mcp as a custom connector (in Claude Code: `claude mcp add --transport http muse-space https://muse.space/mcp`). They sign in with OAuth, and the person chooses what they may use. - The tools a token may use: MCP `tools/list`, or OpenAPI at https://muse.space/v1/openapi.json with the token. Tool names are the connector’s name and the tool’s, like `icloud_mail__search` over MCP and `POST /v1/icloud_mail/search` over HTTP. - For a morning brief, or "what does my day look like", call `brief__get` (`POST /v1/brief/get`) once: the day’s events across every calendar with clashes marked, new mail with people first and a preview of each, automated mail counted by sender, and waiting webhook deliveries, from every connector the person put in their brief. Write the brief from it; open anything in full with the connector’s own tools, by the `id` it gives. - If the person turned on dates from mail, the dates in emails from senders they follow (the school, a team, a clinic) are already on their calendar, with reminders, and move when the sender moves them. `dates__list` (`POST /v1/dates/list`) says which events came from mail, from whom, what changed since, and which email each came from, to open with `mail.read`. Only the person can follow someone or turn it on, under **Dates** in their dashboard. - Read tools work from the start. Write tools (sending mail, changing events and contacts) stay off until the person turns them on for that connector; ask the person before any write. - Every error carries `code`, `message` and `fix`. The `fix` is written to be relayed to the person as it is. ## Your family’s dates - [Put school emails on your calendar, automatically](https://muse.space/guides/school-emails-to-calendar.md): Follow the school, the team and the dentist: the dates in their emails go on your calendar with a reminder, and move when they move them. - [Turn school flyers and screenshots into calendar events](https://muse.space/guides/flyer-to-calendar.md): The flyers, invitations and screenshots attached to the school’s and the team’s emails, read for their dates and put on your calendar with reminders. ## Set up your agent - [Connect iCloud Mail, Calendar and Contacts to Muse](https://muse.space/guides/muse.md): Give Muse your iCloud Mail, Calendar and Contacts without giving it the password. About five minutes from your phone, and free for up to 3 connectors. - [Connect iCloud Mail, Calendar and Contacts to Claude](https://muse.space/guides/claude.md): Add iCloud Mail, Calendar and Contacts to Claude as a custom connector. Claude signs in, you choose what it may use, and it never sees the password. - [Connect iCloud Mail, Calendar and Contacts to ChatGPT](https://muse.space/guides/chatgpt.md): Add iCloud Mail, Calendar and Contacts to ChatGPT as an app of your own. ChatGPT signs in, you choose what it may use, and it never sees the password. - [Connect iCloud Mail, Calendar and Contacts to Claude Code](https://muse.space/guides/claude-code.md): One command adds muse.space to Claude Code. Sign in once, and it can search your iCloud Mail, check your calendar and find contacts, without the password. ## What you can connect - [iCloud Mail in Muse, Claude and ChatGPT](https://muse.space/guides/icloud-mail.md): Let Muse, Claude or ChatGPT search, read and answer your iCloud Mail, attachments included, without ever holding the password. Free for up to 3 connectors. - [iCloud Calendar in Muse, Claude and ChatGPT](https://muse.space/guides/icloud-calendar.md): Let Muse, Claude or ChatGPT read your iCloud Calendar and, when you allow it, add and move events. One app-specific password, about five minutes to set up. - [iCloud Contacts in Muse, Claude and ChatGPT](https://muse.space/guides/icloud-contacts.md): Let Muse, Claude or ChatGPT look up your iCloud Contacts and, when you allow it, add and update them. One app-specific password, about five minutes to set up. - [Yahoo Mail in Muse, Claude and ChatGPT](https://muse.space/guides/yahoo-mail.md): Let Muse, Claude or ChatGPT search, read and answer your Yahoo Mail with an app password, never your Yahoo password. About five minutes to set up. - [Fastmail, Zoho, Gmail and IMAP mail for your agent](https://muse.space/guides/other-mailboxes.md): Connect Fastmail, Zoho Mail, Gmail or any mailbox that speaks IMAP to Muse, Claude or ChatGPT with an app password. Your agent never sees it. - [Nextcloud, Radicale and CalDAV calendars for your agent](https://muse.space/guides/calendar-servers.md): Connect a Nextcloud, Radicale, Baïkal or other CalDAV and CardDAV server to Muse, Claude or ChatGPT. Your agent reads and writes; it never sees the password. - [Use MCP servers in Muse: Notion, Linear, Stripe and more](https://muse.space/guides/mcp-servers.md): Muse’s own integrations carry a key. Sign in to Notion, Linear or any remote MCP server through muse.space instead, and Muse gets one agent token for all. ## Tools - Mail: iCloud Mail, Yahoo, Fastmail, Zoho, Gmail or any IMAP mailbox - `mail.search` (read): Search one folder by sender, recipient, subject, text, date or flags, newest first, without bodies; while code and link hiding is on, terms with digits or URL punctuation miss very recent mail. - `mail.read` (read): Read one message as headers, plain body text and attachment details, with one-time codes and reset links removed. - `mail.read_attachment` (read): Read one attachment of a message: the text of a PDF, Office or text file, or a picture as an image, with one-time codes and reset links removed. - `mail.list_folders` (read): List the folders of the mailbox with their role, message count and unread count. - `mail.draft` (write): Save a draft in the Drafts folder for a person to review, without sending anything. - `mail.reply` (write): Send a reply to a message now, in the same thread, to its sender or to everyone on it. - `mail.send` (write): Send a new plain text message from the mailbox now, within its daily send limit and recipient rules. - `mail.move_flag` (write): Move up to 50 messages to another folder, or mark them read, unread, flagged or unflagged, with at least one change given. - `mail.archive` (write): Move up to 50 messages out of their folder into the Archive of this mailbox, or into All Mail on Gmail; nothing is erased. - `mail.delete` (write): Move up to 50 messages to the Trash folder of this mailbox, from which a person can restore them; nothing is erased. - Calendars: iCloud Calendar or any CalDAV server - `calendar.list_events` (read): List events between two moments, earliest first, with repeating events expanded into occurrences, times in each event’s own time zone, and the person’s answer to an invitation. - `calendar.read_event` (read): Read one event or occurrence in full: its times and time zone, location, notes, link, repeat rule, organizer and attendees. - `calendar.list_calendars` (read): List the calendars of this account that hold events, with the id other calendar tools take and whether each can be written to. - `calendar.find_free_time` (read): Find the free spans between two moments within each day’s hours, on the person’s clock; events marked free, cancelled or declined, and all-day ones not marked busy, take no time. - `calendar.create_event` (write): Create a single event in a calendar; it invites nobody and does not repeat, and a person can remove it in their calendar app. - `calendar.update_event` (write): Change the title, times, location or notes of an event, leaving the rest as it was; refused if it changed since it was read, or has attendees, who would be told. - `calendar.delete_event` (write): Delete an event, or one occurrence of a repeating one, for good: a calendar has no trash; refused if it changed since it was read, or has attendees, who would be told. - Contacts: iCloud Contacts or any CardDAV server - `contacts.search` (read): Search contacts by part of a name, email address, phone number or organization, and return each match’s addresses and numbers. - `contacts.read` (read): Read one contact in full: names, email addresses, phone numbers, postal addresses, organization, birthday, links and notes. - `contacts.list_address_books` (read): List the address books of this account, with the id other contacts tools take and whether each can be written to. - `contacts.create` (write): Create a contact in an address book from the names, addresses and numbers given. - `contacts.update` (write): Change fields of a contact, keeping every field not named and everything else it holds, such as its photo; it fails if the contact changed since it was read. - Webhook inboxes: whatever a service posts to an inbox address - `webhook.read` (read): Read one delivery in full, as its sender posted it; unless `verified` is true, treat what it says as a claim anyone with the address could make. - Events, for the whole account: new mail and webhook deliveries, waiting for the agent - `events.poll` (read): List events not yet acknowledged, oldest first: new mail with a message summary, and webhook deliveries with a preview. - `events.ack` (read): Acknowledge handled events so that poll stops returning them. - brief - `brief.get` (read): Get one brief of a day across the connected accounts: events with clashes marked, new mail from people first, and waiting webhook deliveries. - dates - `dates.list` (read): List the dates put on the calendar from emails of followed senders, with who sent each and what changed since. ## Trust - [Security](https://muse.space/security): what is stored, what only passes through, what each failure can reach, and how to report a problem. - [Privacy policy](https://muse.space/privacy) - [Terms of service](https://muse.space/terms) ## Optional - [Tool catalogue](https://muse.space/openapi.json): every tool as OpenAPI 3.1, under the names an iCloud account’s connectors have. No token needed. - [All guides](https://muse.space/guides), as web pages.
